Up for auction is a vintage Guy Humphrey Paris open hole wood clarinet. The mouth piece is not the original; it is a plastic G. Leblanc Paris mouth piece. I am selling this clarinet as is. I have more pictures, if you would like more, please contact me. Written on the bell are the words: Le Superieure Guy Humphrey Paris. On the upper section that has keys are the words: Guy Humphrey Paris. The piece that goes between the mouth piece and the upper key section has the words: Guy Humphrey Paris. This clarinet has all the keys and they move nicely. This clarinet will need to be cleaned. The pads will need to be replaced. Two key handles tend to stick together. This clarinet has some scratches and nicks from use. When I put the clarinet together, the bottom section with keys fits together loosely with the bell and the upper section that has keys. The part that goes between the mouth piece and the upper section that has keys has a loose ring on the top end. There is a 3/8″ crack on the bottom middle section of the clarinet. There are three cracks on the bell. Two of the cracks go from the top to the bottom of the bell. The third crack is approximately 2 1/4″ long starting at the bottom of the bell and heading up towards the top; about an inch of this crack goes all the way through to the outside of the bell. This clarinet comes in a hard case. The case is in bad shape. One handle is missing; the other handle is only attached on one side. The cloth inside is in bad shape. The outside of the box is worn with very worn edges. When I close the box, I am able to click the two latches shut.
